3. Delivery Truck Equipment & Offloading Options
We operate and dispatch specialized carrier vehicles matched to your site conditions and offload requirements:
Tilt-Bed (Roll-Off) Truck
Most Popular: The truck bed tilts and slides the container smoothly onto the ground. No forklifts or cranes needed on site.
Flatbed / Step-Deck
For Crane/Forklift Offload: Cost-effective long-haul option where customer utilizes their own heavy crane or dual forklifts to lift off the trailer.
HIAB / Crane-Assisted
For Restricted Access: Truck-mounted crane arm lifts containers over walls, fences, or ditches and places them in exact positions.
4. Site Access & Clearance Requirements
Due to the size and weight of commercial transport vehicles, your site must satisfy the following minimum dimensions:
Free of low-hanging utility powerlines, tree branches, building overhangs, and cables.
Adequate clearance for truck mirrors through gates, access roads, and driveways.
Required linear approach space for the truck to pull forward and slide off the unit.
Required linear distance for a full-length tractor-trailer to offload cleanly.
The offloading area must be solid, firm, and level (compacted gravel, asphalt, concrete slabs, or solid timber pads). Delivery trucks cannot drive over soft lawns, deep mud, loose sand, or steep unpaved inclines.
5. Step-by-Step Delivery Day Protocol
Dispatch Notification
Once your container leaves our depot, you receive an automated confirmation with carrier logistics details.
24-Hour Driver Call
Our dispatch team calls you 24 hours prior to confirm the scheduled delivery appointment window.
1-Hour Call Ahead
The transport driver calls 30–60 minutes before arrival so you can prepare site gate access.
Offload & BOL Sign-Off
The container is positioned on site. You inspect the unit and sign the Bill of Lading (BOL) delivery receipt.
6. Freight Calculation & Shipping Rates
Delivery fees are calculated transparently based on loaded mileage distance from our regional depot to your delivery zip code, the container size, and the required offloading truck type (Tilt-Bed vs. Flatbed vs. Crane).
- Zero Hidden Fees: Every quote includes the container base price, transport fuel surcharge, and offload equipment.
- Separate Line-Item: Shipping costs are itemized separately on your invoice for full accounting transparency.
7. Site Access Delays & Rescheduling Policies
Driver Standby Time: Deliveries include up to 45 minutes of on-site offloading time. Extended delays caused by blocked access or unready ground may incur standby fees at carrier rates ($75–$120/hour).
Refusal Due to Inaccessible Site: If a delivery cannot be completed due to unnotified low wires, soft mud, or impassable gates, the customer will be responsible for actual carrier return or redelivery freight costs.
